The Log House Suite
The Twin Bedroom is available only with rental of the Log House suite.
Description
The Log House Suite is our most popular accommodation. Although it is part of the rest of the house, the available private entrance adds to the sense of solitude at Oakland Green.
When Bill and Jean married in 1971, Jean wanted a door through to the stone wing; Bill (who didn't readily take to change) resisted so Jean took matters into her own hands. She took a screwdriver (very large) and hammer in hand to commence chipping away at the stone until daylight could be seen. When Bill arrived home, he realized she had been very serious about wanting a door, so he had a professional stone mason come and finish the door. He really had no choice!

Amenities
Other amenities are a comfortable queen-sized bed, downstairs sitting room, one and a half baths, upright piano (usually tuned — let us know if you are particularly interested), a small refrigerator and microwave in the room, and coffee and tea pots. The Log House is furnished throughout with family antiques, including two 18th century tables handcrafted locally.

Description
The Twin Bedroom is available for rent only in conjunction with the Log House. The Twin Bedroom is perfect for the kids or other family members. It features two antique feather beds (filled with real feathers) and family heirloom furniture. The Twin Bedroom shares a bath with the Log House bedroom.
